  • Dressage entries must be received by the Monday before the show.

  • Times will be posted on www.cricklands.com 2 days before the show.

  • All dressage tests are available from British Dressage.

  • No martingales/ boots/ bandages permitted. Spurs, whips and callers are permitted.

  • Please report mounted to Arena Steward at least 10 minutes prior to your time.

To enter select Summer Show-SHOWING PACKAGE, when you follow the link below.  Here you enter all classes that you would like to enter. There will be no entries on the day. You will all be provided with a bridle number through horse monkey which you will be required to wear for all classes. This can be printed off at home or worn using a bridle badge.

 

Saturday Schedule

Ring 1 (Equine America 1) 

The following 5 classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers. For full rulings and information on competitions/ qualification, please refer to the CHAPS(UK) Members’ Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings. Only skewbalds/piebalds can compete in the classes.

All stallions, 4 years and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). All stallions must wear Stallion ID disks in the ring, without exception.

 

Class 1 – CHAPS Open Youngstock

Youngsters 1, 2 and 3 years of age. No foals. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

Class 2 -  CHAPS Open Nat/Trad/Cob In-Hand

Mare, Gelding or Stallion any age No foals, of Native, Traditional or Cob Type. To be eligible for CHAPS. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

Class 3 - CHAPS Open Non Native In-Hand

Mare, Gelding or Stallion any age No foals, to be shown plaited. To be eligible for CHAPS. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 4 - CHAPS Open Nat/Trad/Cob Ridden

Mare, Gelding or Stallion 4yo or over of Native, Traditional or Cob Type. To be eligible for CHAPS. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 5 - CHAPS Open Non Native Ridden

Mare, Gelding or Stallion 4yo or over, to be shown plaited. To be eligible for CHAPS. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.


Class 6 - TGCA Pure Bred Young Stock In-Hand

Mare, Gelding, Colt or Filly. (see Show Qualifiers page for colt rules) 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 7 - TGCA Pure Bred In-Hand 4 yr and over

Mare, Gelding or Stallion. Riders can be any age, but must be suited for the size of horse/pony. (See Show Qualifiers page for Stallion Rules) 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 8 - TGCA Pure Bred Ridden

Mare, Gelding or Stallion. Riders can be any age, but must be suited for the size of horse/pony. (See Show Qualifiers page for Stallion Rules) 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

Mare or Gelding. Any Breed. Fifteen years old and over. Competitors will be required to give a short show. Exhibitors must display equine age. (Special Rosette to Eldest Pony. Special Rosette to Eldest Horse) Highest placed skewbald/piebald veteran will qualify for CHAPS. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship. All competitors placed 1st to 4th in each age category will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals

 

Class 10 - Novice Hunter - Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, exceeding 148cms. Riders of any age. Horse not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year.  1st and 2nd qualify for Championship. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY.

 

Class 11 - Open Hunter - Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, exceeding 148cms. Riders of any age. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 12 - Novice Hack / Riding Horse - Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, exceeding 148cms. Riders of any age. Horse not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year.  1st and 2nd qualify for Championship. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY.

 

Class 13 - Open Hack Riding Horse - Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, exceeding 148cms. Riders of any age. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 14 - Novice Cob - Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, exceeding 148cms. Riders of any age. Horse not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY.

 

Class 15 - Open Cob - Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, exceeding 148cms. Riders of any age. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 16 - Ridden Ex-Racehorse

Stallion, Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, to be registered with Weatherbys and have raced under Jockey.. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 17 - Ridden Veteran including CHAPS Q

Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 15 years old and over. Highest placed skewbald/piebald veteran will qualify for CHAPS. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship. All competitors placed 1st to 4th in each age category will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals (see show qualifiers for rules)

 

Class 18 - Ridden Coloured

Stallion, Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over. Riders of any age. To include Piebald, Skewbald, Palomino, Dun, Spotted, Appaloosa, Roan.(see rules for Ridden Stallions) 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

Mare or Gelding or Stallion. Four years old and over. Riders of any age. (see rules for Ridden Stallions) 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship  

 

Class 22 - Pure/Part/Anglo Arab & Foreign and Rare Breeds Ridden

Stallion, Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over. Riders of any age. To be registered relevant   Society(see rules for Ridden Stallions) Rare Breeds eligible are those on the Critical & Endangered liststo include part breds. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 23 - Competition Horse or Pony - Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over. Suitable for dressage, showjumping or eventing. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 24 - Family Horse or Pony – Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over. To be suitable for all the family and ridden by two generations. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 25 - Riding Club Horse - Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, exceeding 148cm. Suitable for riding club activities. Class may include a small jump. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 26 - Pony Club Pony – Ridden

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, not exceeding 148cm. Suitable for pony club activities. Class mayl include a small jump. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, not exceeding 122cms. Ponies to be registered with their respective stud books and not to have won any Lead Rein class before 1st January in the current year. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before January 1st in the current year. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY. To be led by an attendant. Lead Rein attached to the noseband only. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 29 - Open M&M Lead Rein

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over, not exceeding 122cms. Ponies to be registered with their respective stud books. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before January 1st in the current year. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY. To be led by an attendant. Lead Rein attached to the noseband only. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 30– Novice M&M Ridden

Mare, Gelding or Stallion. Four years and over. To be registered with the respective pure breed society stud books. Ponies never to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 31 – Open M&M Ridden

Mare, Gelding or Stallion. Four years and over. To be registered with the respective pure breed society stud books. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 32 – Open First Ridden M&M

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over. Not exceeding 128cms. Riders must be 4yrs & over. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday by 1st January in the current year. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 33 – Novice First Ridden M&M

Mare or Gelding. Four years old and over. Not exceeding 128cms. Riders must be 4yrs & over. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday by 1st January in the current year. Ponies not to have won any First Ridden class before 1st January in the current year. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 34 - M&M Welsh A&B Ridden

Mare, Gelding or Stallion. Four years and over. To be registered with the WPCS Welsh Section A or B. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 35 - M&M Welsh C&D Ridden

Mare, Gelding or Stallion. Four years and over. To be registered with the WPCS Welsh Section C or D. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 36 - Part Bred Open/Noice Welsh Ridden

Mare, Gelding or Stallion. Four years and over. To be registered with the respective pure breed society stud books.  1st and 2nd qualify for Championship. Please let the judge know which section you are in.

There will be a group go round in walk and trot. To be led by an attendant. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY. 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship (Sunday).

 

Class 38 - Newbie Junior Rider

Mare or Gelding. Four years and over. Riders to be the correct size for mount. This class is an introduction to showing class for riders 16 years and under, who consider themselves either a new, nervous or novice rider at showing not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year. There will be a group go round in walk and trot. A short individual show will be required. If riders are not happy to canter they may stay at a trot. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY.

 

Class 39 - Newbie Senior Rider

Mare or Gelding. Four years and over. Riders to be the correct size for mount. This class is an introduction to showing class for riders 17 years and over, who consider themselves either a new, nervous or novice rider at showing not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year. There will be a group go round in walk and trot. A short individual show will be required. If riders are not happy to canter they may stay at a trot. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY.1st and 2nd qualify for Championship (Sunday).

Class 70 - In-Hand Companion Horse or Pony

Any age. For horses and ponies that do not fit in any other showing class, Exhibits will not be marked down for scars or blemishes. Any height. (Special Best Youngstock) 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 71 - In-Hand Pure Part Anglo Arab

Stallion, Mare or Gelding. Any age. To be registered with the Arab Horse Society (Special Best Youngstock) 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

 

Class 72 - In-Hand Driving Horse or Pony

Any age. Any Type to make a suitable Driving Type. (Special Best Youngstock) 1st and 2nd qualify for Championship.

This class is an introduction to showing class for riders 16 years and under, who consider themselves either a new, nervous or novice rider at showing not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year. There will be a group go round in walk and trot. A short individual show will be required. If riders are not happy to canter they may stay at a trot. SNAFFLE BRIDLES ONLY.

 

Class 100 - Newbie Senior Rider

Mare or Gelding. Four years and over. Riders to be the correct size for mount. This class is an introduction to showing class for riders 17 years and over, who consider themselves either a new, nervous or novice rider at showing not to have won 1st place in any class before 1st January in the current year. There will be a group go round in walk and trot. A short individual show will be required. If riders are not happy to canter they may stay at a trot. What to do Now!
You just need to enter to reserve your stable.  We created a show that is ideal for people that don't often stay away at Horse Shows.  We have ample toilets and showers, exceptional catering at very reasonable catering prices and parties each night (Covid-19 Restrictions Permitting).  Electric hook up is also available for those that prefer their creature comforts.

How do I know if I will be good enough?
These shows are meant for people like you.  Our "Welcome To Jumping" classes are designed to encourage younger children and adults that are just starting their journey, or perhaps just finding their confidence after a bit of a break.  We suggest finding someone (perhaps on our Facebook Group) that has already come to the centre and they will tell you that you can be sure that we cater for individuals of all standards. Most people found that, whether you win or not, it really is a great weekend of fun.


It seems a long way to travel.
We are only 10 minutes from the Severn Bridge, which is now free to cross, with main roads leading virtually right up to the entrance.  The Show has been designed for people like you to come and stay over. Why not team up with people from your livery yards or that live near and share a lorry and ask to be stabled next to each other?

What do we need to do when we get there?
On arrival to the Showground, please park where you are asked to park.  Then, check in with the Stable Manager, who will show you to your stable. Your stable number is not the same as your running numbers.  Once you have unloaded and set up your "camp", if there is still time why not take your horse or pony for a walk around our showground to get used to all the sights before the competitions the following day.
